That funding is political, and despite the benefits of having a family or support network (of any kind) I can't help but cringe whenever I see those bulletin boards. They don't exist to show the benefits of a "healthy" or positive relationship-- they are a declaration of hetero relationships and outmoded sexual principles like abstinence only.
