Actually, Philip Morris has been pushing cigarettes on the LGBT community as strongly as it used to on, well.. everyone else. And being as how in the 80s and 90s, 'gay' publications were having issues with selling ad space,.. PM got in A LOT of ads, including marketing specific subbrands to the gay population...

Its also come to light that Philip Morris has been using a percentage of its profits to invest and lobby for socially and fiscally conservative politics which directly hinder the freedom of inviduals they are profiting from, like the San Fransisco Weekly exposing "Project SCUM" where PM was trying to carve out a great and apparently profitable niche.. specifically the gay and homeless.

I wouldn't have thought to consider homeless people as a profitable target market for much of anything. But I guess when you turn cigarettes into a basic need through marketing and addiction...
